About this blog
One person, a notebook and a pair of boots.
NetFinland is a personal blog about Finnish nature. It is written by one person, mostly outdoors, sometimes in a tent, and updated roughly once a month — more often in autumn, less in the weeks when the light is too good to sit at a desk.
What it is not
- Not a guide service, and not advice for a first trip. If you need that, the national park websites do it better.
- Not a photography blog, although there are photographs.
- Not sponsored. Nothing here is a paid placement, and there are no affiliate links.
How it started
As a paper notebook, in 2014, because I kept forgetting what the forest looked like in a given week and wanted to be able to compare one year with the next. The notebook turned into a folder of text files, and the folder eventually turned into this.
